BREAKING 90
Take Better Aim with Chip Shots
The chip shot has become your friend, in more ways than one, as you broke 100 and approached the milestone of breaking 90. But you can do better and take it to the next level.
Have you ever tried to make a chip? It’s time to stop thinking about getting chip shots close and time to start thinking of making the makeable ones.
Be sure you’re taking dead aim with all chips to two different targets. Take a look at the photos to see what I’m talking about : The first target is where you want to land the ball on the green. From there, the ball will roll as a putt, so choose your intended target based upon how you would roll a putt from the landing area. Practice this first strategy first before bringing it to the golf course. Chances are the first time out you’ll get too aggressive with this strategy. Should you realize shot patterns that have the ball ending up well past the hole, choose a more lofted and shorter club. Don’t change your swing.
