Swing trainers, like golfers, come in all shapes and sizes. But few swing trainers really work as their designers say.
The Swing Align trainer is in the minority – one of those swing aids that actually performs. Developed by golf industry veteran Chris McGinley, Swing Align is a wearable device that allows the user to “rehearse’’ or hit any shot with his or her own clubs.
The device fits most golfers (a junior Swing Align is in the pipeline) and it can even be worn on the lower body for more learning opportunities.
“There’s a lot of great visual feedback, and with the connection belt, it’s good muscle memory,’’ said McGinley, who debuted the product at the show and will have it available for retail soon. “It helps you release the club and square it up.”
