The Callaway-New Balance partnership has yielded some excellent, functional golf footwear in recent years, but its own 2018 footwear collection features three new high-performance models that deserve a fresh spotlight. Like all Callaway footwear, they are ready to wear right out of the box.
LaGrange is their most premium and advanced golf shoe to date, offering clean, contemporary styling with its roots grounded in technical performance. The foundation of the shoe is Callaway’s new POWERdrive platform featuring a Duo-Max midsole, which offers a soft and comfortable top layer of EVA foam surrounded by a more supportive bottom layer of foam, to provide optimal support and stability. The FusionLite TPU outsole is built for maximum stability and traction, including nine removable Silver Tornado cleats. This outsole includes strategic cutouts to allow the shoe to flex and move with your foot during the various movements of your swing. Inside is a POWERdrive insole that comforts the foot with soft, molded EVA, but also features additional heel and arch support to maximize the support offered in this model. The upper is made of full-grain leather upper with Opti-dri waterproof protection backed by a two-year warranty.
Other styles include The Swami 2.0 which has a luxurious look, fit and feel packaged into a very affordable price, even with an upper made of full-grain waterproof leather upper and welted construction to give it a dressier finish. Its Dura-rubber spikeless outsole features multi-directional lugs for agility and traction. The Highland is a fusion of performance materials and modern sport styling, with an Opti-dri mesh upper with welded stability cage and an external TPU heel stabilizer. It looks and feel like a running shoe, but offers all the support and structure you’d expect in a golf shoe. The FusionLite TPU spikeless outsole is built for maximum stability and traction, while the Opti-vent mesh liner allows for breathability and heat management.
