What is a podcast?
Golf Tips Video podcasts are video files that can be downloaded or delivered automatically to your computer. This is different than watching streaming video online because, once you have downloaded a podcast, you can watch the video any time you want. You can put the video on your portable media player, copy the file to another computer, or watch the video without being connected to the Internet.

What does it mean to “subscribe” to a podcast?
When you subscribe to a podcast with a podcatcher like iTunes or Juice, new videos are automatically downloaded to your computer when they are posted. Every time an instructional podcast goes up on golftipsmag.com, your podcatcher will download the new video. So the next time you go to your computer, any new videos are already waiting for you. You can watch them or sync them to your player at your convenience.

What is a “podcatcher” and where do I get one?
A podcatcher, or podcasting client, is software that automatically downloads the podcasts that you subscribe to. You don’t need a podcatcher to watch podcasts, but you will need a podcatcher to subscribe to Golf Tips Video podcasts. Once you subscribe to the Golf Tips Video podcast feed, your podcatcher will continually check the Golf Tips Video podcast feed for new videos and download them to your computer automatically. Do I have to subscribe to view podcasts?
No. Without subscribing, you can still download individual video podcasts and watch them any time you want on your computer or portable media player. However, new podcasts won’t be automatically downloaded to your computer; you’ll need to check golftipsmag.com for new podcasts and download them individually.

Do I need an iPod or other portable media player to use podcasts?
Nope! Many podcast users put podcasts on their mobile devices so they can access the content whenever they want. With a portable media player, you can take video tips with you to the golf course while you work on your swing, or easily bring them when you travel. However, you can always watch podcasts right on your computer if you want.

How much does it cost?
Nothing! Golf Tips Video podcasts are available free to anyone.
