One of the great things about the game of golf is that, on occasion, all of us, even the highest handicapper, will hit a shot like a pro. It might be a well-struck drive, hitting a par-5 in two or holing out a bunker shot.
With more than 30 years of experience, Mel Sole has taught golf to students of all skill levels around the world in South Africa, Canada and the USA. Mel’s client roster includes professional athletes, CEOs of Fortune 500 Companies and many more. He now owns and teaches for the Ritson-Sole Golf Schools.
A native Californian raised in Paso Robles, attended San Jose State University on a golf scholarship, turned professional in 1977 becoming a PGA professional while working in the public sector. He became part of the team at The Newport Beach CC in 1989 and was named Head Professional in 1995. He’s played in numerous Champion Tour events including the 2005 PGA Senior Championship at Laurel Valley, PA. He has produced many good players at the club and in and around the local area.
